Countdown: 14 Days!

In two weeks I will be making a wedding cake for one of my good friends, Julie! I can't wait for her big day and finally being able to see the wedding cake we have planned and talked about for months!

The wedding cake will be four tiers with the largest one measuring 16 inches. All the tiers will be covered in fondant and decorated around the bottom of the tiers with a simple and elegant pearl design. The cake will then be adorned with fresh flowers.

The cake will have three different flavors: Yellow Cake with Peanut Butter filling and Cream Cheese frosting (bottom tier), Yellow Cake with alternating Raspberry and White Chocolate Ganache filling and Cream Cheese frosting (middle two tiers), and Red Velvet Cake (the top tier, just for Julie and Matt)

The trickiest part of this cake is transportation. The cake will be delivered in Macon, Georgia which is about an hour and a half from Atlanta. Thankfully, I will be able to use the commercial kitchen in the Sports Hall of Fame for the construction of the cake.

I will be sure to share pictures of the process and the final result in a little over two weeks!
